Connect How did your love story begin?

We met on Snapchat because he was best friends with my cousin. We didn't actually meet in person (we went to different schools) until my birthday party 3 months later. Later, at his birthday party, he asked me to be his girlfriend (6/17/2017). We've been together ever since, but not without ups and downs. We were long distance because my mom was strict and we lived thirty minutes away. Because of our distance, we attended the same college and grew as individuals and as a couple.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is traveling out of the country together for the first time. It was my first time going on a vacation and out of the country. He was excited for me to get to know his culture and his family in Mexico and for me to experience a vacation since my mom could never afford anything like that. He was happy that I got to experience what he did every year growing up, and it helped me get out of my comfort zone. It was so great that we want to go back on our own one day and relive it.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would finally be able to get our forever home that we could raise our future children in. This is what we're struggling the most with right now with the economy/housing market and paying for the wedding. Houses in our area are very expensive and it feels impossible to be able to purchase one in time to move in by our wedding day. It would be a blessing for us and a burden off our minds.
