Connect How did your love story begin?

We were both 15 on a camping trip with our families. We were there for days without meeting. I was sitting in a wooden castle and suddenly, he climbs over the edge of the towers wall. Our eyes meet and he fell in love instantly. We stayed up all night together and watched a lightning storm on the camp grounds holding each other. He told me he loved me that night. The next morning, during breakfast, I saw his face spotlighted in the sun and my heart lit up. I was falling in love with him too.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Driving home on a vacation from Disney, which was over 1,000 miles, we stopped at Love's gas station in Georgia. While we pulled into the lot, we saw a tiny kitten in the bushes. We sat for 2 hours trying to capture him and it was already dark when we arrived. Finally, we lured him close enough with food and we grabbed him. We wrapped him in a hoodie and I immediately asked if we could keep him, it was a yes. Into the car with us he went for the long journey left. Now we have 3 cats, he our 1st.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would put it towards our future together. Currently, we are planning our wedding and looking for our 1st home. He is also going to start college, which he put on hold originally to support me through my academics. Now it is my turn to do the same while he focuses on his studies and works towards his own dreams. Everything we do is focused towards starting to build our place in the world, together.
