Classmates in school, K-12. Shared love of Jeeps. Similar upbringing. Talking, we would share... then "hey, me too!" Commonalities: teachers, family club memberships/pool access, basketball/track teams, theater, Jeeps!, music, family composition, travel, pastime preferences, foods. School bus drivers! Went to hear her sing at a club, she forgot the words when I walked in. She knew then... took me longer.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Went to a Jack Johnson Concert June'14. "Marriage Equality was LEGAL in Illinois." You're gonna marry me! Just a 2 hour ride away.... we could! She freaked out! Proposed to each other in July, early Sept we drove to Chicago, applied for marriage license. Court clerk smugly said, "this paper is ONLY good in Illinois you know." Came back out to Jeep and heard announcement that Marriage Equality was legal across the US! PERFECT! We married the next day and had a Wrigleyville honeymoon!
What would you do with $20,000?We would take a really nice honeymoon! Greece, Italy, and other parts of Europe. After being caregivers for both of our mothers, until they passed, we haven't really been able to travel much. It's our time to be "better paid."
