Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in the way all great Gen-Z couples meet—on Hinge. F recently got out of a long distance relationship, C had been on the app for two weeks. Our first conversation was about our shared love of G+Ts and studying abroad in London. We realized we had lived in the same dorm but had just missed each other (C was there in Spring, F in Summer). After that, it was a continuous series of coincidences, similarities, and near misses. Very invisible string core. We knew it was something special.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Valentine’s Day 2024. C was up against the clock. He had promised a nice evening spent together, but work was piling up. He escaped with 5 minutes to spare before the Whole Foods closed. C snatched the last rosebush out of the empty floral section and rushed to F's apartment. Despite the 11pm arrival, F greeted C with the biggest hug. We finished the evening by binging episodes of Freaks and Greeks. To this day, the rosebush is alive and well (like the love fern in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days).

What would you do with $20,000?

F, realistically, knows she should put the money towards her scarily high student loans (#masters degree), but she would want to use it to travel the world with C and explore every global cuisine they possibly can. C wants to stick with the travel theme, not in the touristy sense, but more so as a local. Ideally, we would hop on a flight to Italy and explore the villages and small towns across the country, eating with the locals and exploring the natural beauty of every destination.
