On the escalator in the High School of Art & Design, I was riding up to class when on the other side of the escalator going down, I saw this cute guy with the most perfect afro, wearing a turtleneck and boldly decided to get his attention by yelling. Hanging over the edge I asked him if he would let me take his picture. He said yes. I immediately jumped off the steps, ran to the other side to meet him. We laughed, started talking and eventually start to date. Marrying 5 years later.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Top 3- most memorable because there are too many. 1- first kiss in a Met museum staircase in NYC- that was electric. I Can still feel the tingles when I remember. 2- The birth of our first child. So much love and happiness consumed us. 3- Watching both children graduate college. Our kids were the first Grandchildren to get a college degree for our parents. Proudest moment.
What would you do with $20,000?We would start a college fund for our one and only granddaughter. Get rid of the parent plus loans debt so we can retire. Maybe visit Italy as we always wanted to do. Get busy living so they say.
