Connect How did your love story begin?

We met 6/29/18 on Match.com - had our 1st date on my birthday, 7/8. He had full custody of his 3 children and I had my son. Today, we share a daughter. And even with 2 adult age children, now both in college — we all still live together and they still choose us. Life didn’t deal them an easy hand of cards but in spite of what they’ve been through—they are good, hard working kids and love us just as much as we love them. We want to give them the best life possible and we keep doing our best.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I saw him as a dad to his 3 children and my son, but it wasn’t until we had just brought our newborn home that I truly saw what kind of a man and father he was. There was this unexplainable euphoria almost when we brought our baby home to our children. Seeing how good of a father he was and realizing what kind of a daddy our daughter was going to have & even to this day, seeing how much she loves him is something that will never get old. He thinks I envy it… But I don’t. I love him more FOR it!

What would you do with $20,000?

We were just pre-approved fora mortgage & would use that $20,000 to ensure we are able to afford the down payment & closing costs. Literally, 1 week ago, started the process to become 1st time homebuyers. And today, this opportunity at our feet. We want to continue doing the right thing for our family & cannot wait to have our 1st night together in our new home!
