Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began at a Halloween party on November 1st. We unknowingly had both decided dating in our college town was pointless. As I’m standing there a guy bumps into me dressed as a pirate with his friends. Before I know it, his friends rip off the pirate’s shirt, they look at me and say “do you think he looks good?” And of course I say yes. Before I know it the pirate and I are talking all night. He takes me out to dinner the next day, and we have been crazy for each other ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite shared memory comes from a date night in late March that Jacob planned for us. We got dinner, walked around the old part of our college town, and ran around trying to catch Pokémon on Pokémon Go as true nerds do. It felt so nice to look at each other and feel so young and in love. It was as if we had met for the first time, and we could both feel the butterflies in our stomach. Nights like these together never get old, and we look forward to the “honeymoon phase” lasting a lifetime.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use $20,000 to start our life together. One of us just graduated college, and the other is graduating this spring. We would love to use it to pay off some of our college expenses such as students loans and housing. The money would also go towards giving back to our parents as well. Without the sacrifices they have made for each of us, we would not be the poeple who could love each other so well today. Our family has truly made us who we are today, and they deserve something nice too.
