We got engaged 3 weeks after meeting and married just 1.5 months in. Love at first sight is real. Soulmates from day one. ❤️
We would like to thank you for supporting Evan & Sydnie in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love story is a bit unorthodox... we met on Bumble in Nov 2023 and instantly knew we wanted something real. Despite his military training, we made our first 14-hour date happen on Nov 12th and didn’t want it to end. Three weeks later, we got engaged. By late December, we decided to get married the next day. We kept it secret for a year to avoid judgment, but we’ve always known, true love doesn’t follow a script.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We’ve had so many meaningful moments together that it’s hard to choose just one shared memory. For me, it was caring for him while he recovered from an injury during his training — a time that brought us closer than ever. For him, it was proposing to me in Montreal, in front of a giant ferris wheel. While we may have different favorite memories, the one we both agree on is simply sharing our everyday lives with each other.
What would you do with $20,000?We eloped in an untraditional way, which sadly caused tension with his family, especially his mother, who has since cut ties with us. We've always dreamed of having a wedding, but with his modest military income and my part-time work as a streaming assistant and freelance animator while being a full-time master's student, it's out of reach. $20,000 would help us celebrate our love properly and finally give us the chance to start a family.
