We are infinitely silly, perpetually loving, and make an awesome creative team! There’s no one we’d rather get through the worst days with.
We would like to thank you for supporting Estelle and Aaron in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Estelle was invited to Aaron’s housewarming party by a long lost childhood friend. Sparks instantly flew. We became best friends, and bonded even more when Estelle had a seizure on Aaron’s floor one of the first times we ever hung out solo. Months later, with our mutual friend’s blessing, Aaron blurted out “I’m so glad we have a crush on each other,” and Estelle just grinned like a loon, relieved that they could stop pretending they weren’t in love with their best friend.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? It’s all the late nights, after a long day trying to build our creative careers, working the equivalent of 3 jobs each. When we’re burnt out beyond belief but proud of the work we’ve done; whether writing scripts, or designing and building a DIY haunted mansion. Those are the moments we appreciate each other the most. We take care of each other, we draw each other baths, sing each other silly little improvised songs, snuggle endlessly, laugh maniacally. The little things make a life.
What would you do with $20,000?It would allow us to continue our work as storytellers and artists! First we’d pay for some much needed mobility aids for Estelle, who has a physically disabling genetic condition and is losing the ability to write and make art without ring splints. We’d put the rest toward finishing season 2 of “What Happened in Skinner,” the award winning audio drama we work on together that Aaron created with the friend who introduced us. Maybe we’d even be able to launch season 3. And take a vacation!
