Rock and roll saved us. We lived homeless now we have a flat in Hollywood together. We got married at 21 and 29. He’s a singer, I’m his MUA
We would like to thank you for supporting Essex and Ellery Robertson in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I met him at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood. He was 6’4, wearing leather & sunglasses. I went up to him & we talked and he handed me a poetry book to keep. We spent the day rushing around LA. A couple told us we made a beautiful pair, then we told them we just met. They made an archway with their arms & had us go under. They said “Congrats! You are now married.” In that moment we awkwardly giggled & then looked at each other. In silence we walked. We knew they were right. I had met HIM.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We were dancing at a club to “Dancing with Myself” by Billy Idol. I looked at him & told him “Why don’t we just get married now?” Smiling down at me you said “Let’s do it.. I don’t wait to wait any longer”. Instantly grabbing my hand we rushed through everyone & called venues to see if we could do it that night.. (we had no luck).
What would you do with $20,000?I would help my mothers retire as they are in their mid 60’s. If they wouldn’t accept my offer I would use it towards a liver transplant surgery I need.
