Connect How did your love story begin?

It all started in 2013 at a family wedding—her cousin married my cousin, and fate RSVP’d for us too. I spotted Torre across the dance floor and thought, “Goodness gracious, she’s beautiful! I have to talk to her.” I nervously made my way over, pretending I had sweet dance moves (I didn’t). We clicked instantly. Fast forward: laughs, late-night snacks, a daughter who runs the house, and now 2 years married this July 15th. From wedding guests to soulmates—what a dance it’s been!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories was a quiet night in bed, lights off, only the TV glowing. A year or two into our relationship, we were cuddled up, half-asleep but fully in awe of each other. In that perfect stillness, I whispered, “I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” and she said it right back without missing a beat. We held each other tight, no big gestures, just love—and drifted off wrapped in a promise we both felt deep in our hearts.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we had $20,000, we’d do what we always do—take care of what matters most. First, we’d knock out bills like a tag team, make sure our daughter has everything she needs (plus a few things she just wants), plan some memorable family holidays full of laughs and love, and tuck the rest away in savings for a rainy day—or a sunny future. It wouldn’t just be money spent, it’d be love invested in our little family’s joy, peace, and tomorrow.
