June 14, 2014 - my little sister married his little brother (CRAZY right!?) We had never met before and were paired up for the bridal party. When the weekend was over, we went our separate ways and didn’t see or talk to each other again until November 24, 2021. My sis went into labor with our first niece. We ran into each other while visiting our new niece and SPARKS FLEW! We spent Christmas together a month later and did the long distance thing for 3 years - SPOILER: married 11/4/24!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?ENGAGEMENT! It was magical - we picked out a ring 11 months before that so I was starting to think he changed his mind - turns out he was waiting to propose at my favorite place on earth (Disney) at my favorite time of year (Christmas) so I couldn’t be mad about the almost year delay between choosing a ring and the proposal since it was PERFECT! He still talks about that being the most nerve wracking day he has ever had but also the best. We were euphoric! (And the rides weren’t bad either:)
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly, we will probably go on the honeymoon we have yet to take as well as donate a significant portion to Peace for Pits, and animal rescue which is near and dear to my heart as I adopted my other bff, Riggs, from them years ago! So many pets in need and their organization is amazing!
