How did your love story begin?

We met in the summer of 2000. Erik and I were set up on a blind date at a bowling alley. I was leaving for Navy bootcamp in August, and he was still in school. As kids do, we fell in love and spent the next couple of months inseparable. Life happened and we broke up. Neither of us forgot the other, and 15 years later I found out he worked a mile from where I lived. We met back up and the feelings we had for each other came back as strong as ever. That was 10 years ago and life is amazing.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Before I left for bootcamp Eriks dad took us on a week-long trip to Winchester Bay, Oregon. We crabbed off the docks, watched the sun set on the Pacific, and held each other wishing that this time would never end. Years later our family went back to Winchester Bay, crabbed off the same docks, and got to experience it with our kids. We held each other as the sun set again, our love shining like the last beams of light from the sun.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would donate a thousand to our favorite charity that we spend dozens hours with each year. Then I would love to take a trip with just Erik and I. We never got a honeymoon as we blended a family with kids on both sides and a trip just wasn't within our budget or responsibilities to our kids. Id love to renew our vows on the dock in Winchester Bay we made so many memories on.
