What if you mix Tolkien and The Addams Family? You get a Hobbit and a Dwarf that is mad for the spooky and kooky and for each other.
We would like to thank you for supporting Eric and Christine in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
1999. We were just kids. Two 15 year olds that carried their worlds on their shoulders and needed an escape. Way back when MSN has themed chatrooms, we bridged the 1000 mile gap between Washington and Arizona and met in a D&D chatroom. Two lonely, weird kids playing mages, looking for magic and adventure in the darkness, somehow found their soulmates. Their characters Tryanis and Cin forged a connection that wildly enough spread to the real world.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Meeting in person at last in 2004. Eric left his home in Brewster, Washington, to join the Navy shortly after highschool while Christine was getting ready for college at ASU. After A School in Florida and before college, Eric flew all the way from Pensacola to Phoenix, just to see if their online connection was real. First real relationship for both, and barely adults at 18/ 19, the moment Christine saw him after years of calls and chatroom adventures, she threw herself into his arms.
What would you do with $20,000?Fix up our old house that was built in 1974. We've had to replace both bathrooms so far, but it still needs a lot of work. It's been our home for 13 years of our 16 year marriage, and want to one day give it to our daughter should we get our dream retirement home in a spooky place like Jerome. And if there is any money left over, finally go to Disneyland on Halloween.
