I was 15 years old and Enrique was 16 when we met. It is cheesy and cliché to say but I immediately felt the butterflies in my stomach. Enrique says he knew the moment we met that I would be his wife one day. We fell hard for each other. We got engaged after college and married when we were in our mid 20s. Life has given us some big challenges but we have overcome all of them. Our daughter has special needs and life can be difficult at times but there’s no one else I would want by my side.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory as a couple was giving birth to our daughter Natalia. She is a miracle baby and was never supposed to make it. To say she has defied the odds is an understatement. She’s had two open heart surgeries and has many other medical problems. Despite her health challenges, she has persevered and is the most wonderful girl. She is the reason I became a nurse!
What would you do with $20,000?Due to medical issues, we are no longer able to concieve our own children. We would use this money towards building our family through surrogacy or adoption.
