We knew each other for about 25 years, we even danced together when we were 3 years old. But in our small Bible Belt Oklahoma town, we never even considered dating. Then, right before COVID, everything changed. We met up for dinner one night, and we couldn’t take our eyes off each other. It’s as if the universe made us wait our whole lives to see each other in that moment. We’ve been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Although we’ve traveled the world together and had the most magical wedding you can imagine, some of our smallest moments had the biggest impact. We had only been dating for 2 months when COVID hit. It forced us to live in Mary Lane’s Catholic parents’ home in our small Oklahoma town. Through the chaos, we made each second count. One of our favorite memories was sitting in her childhood bedroom watching Buffy, drinking mimosas, and forgetting about all the problems in the outside world.
What would you do with $20,000?This world and all its extremely high costs can be very scary. That’s why we’re constantly trying to save as much money as possible, even for basic necessities. Winning $20,000 would enable our biggest dream of starting a family together, and working to thrive with our future, not just survive.
