How did your love story begin?

Emily slid into Reeve’s Hinge DMs with a Taylor Swift/musical theater one liner and after that came a month of talking! Despite neither living in Durham at the time, we had both set our locations there before moving to the city. After Reeve moved down in August 2023, we quickly set our first date. We had a picnic in a park, saw a comedy show, and had the worst chicken tenders of our lives. Despite the truly terrible chicken, we knew there was something special and the rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have been head over heels since the beginning! After only 6 months of dating, and against others advice to move slow, we headed to Puerto Rico for a long weekend together. Our combined sense of adventure, appreciation for new foods, excitement for experiences, and love for each other, culminated in the most incredible few days. This trip also began our continued tradition of surprising each other with experiential dates. Luckily, we are also great travel partners and that has only continued!

What would you do with $20,000?

This money would be absolutely life changing for us! As a social worker and a freelance documentary producer, we always put our passions and purpose ahead of our finances. We would use the money to plan our dream wedding and honeymoon. We’re so excited to celebrate our love for each other with the people who love us! This would help us set up our future life together.
