We met in Annapolis MD through a mutual friend nearly 25 years ago. We dated four years, then I broke up with him because of his alcoholism in 2010. He went into rehab after losing me and is sober, attends the meetings, etc. Since we broke up, he has consistently tried to reconcile. We remained friends, talking weekly. I moved to Big Bear Lake, CA in 2016, and he began gifting me with trips to take with him. November 2025 he proposed, I said yes. Ceremony in BBL June 2026.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Charlie is smart, very funny and witty. (1) After our first date, Charlie sent flowers to my office in the name of Elaine Parker. My name is Ellen Clarke. (2) Our first trip was to North Carolina on the coast, where I broke my left leg getting out of a boat. When Charlie returned to the airport, and was asked about me, he responded "She didn't make it, " implying that I died.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay down the mortgage and buy a car. My car is beat up - 2013 Mazda with 120K miles or use it for a new house downpayment. I run the Chamber of Commerce in BBL. Charlie has a window-washing business in Annapolis.
