We have been together 37 years and it was love at first sight! We enjoy just being together and taking each adventure as it comes!
We would like to thank you for supporting Elaine and Susie in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I went to volunteer at Elaine's office of NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Massachusetts Chapter. I had a friend who also worked there and I volunteered to stuff and seal envelopes. Elaine saw me enter the office and she describes it as being "hit with Cupid's arrow" when she saw me.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory is the day we found out I was a perfect match for Elaine's sister Linda, who needed a kidney transplant in 1999. Most of their family had been lost in the Holocaust so family donors were non-existent. We matched better than a familial donor and to this day, we know we received a miracle.
What would you do with $20,000?There's only one thing I would want to do with the money: take Elaine home to NY to see her niece and nephew and their Dad, Mike. Her only sister, Linda, passed away March 17, 2025. Elaine has multiple myeloma and couldn't travel to her sister's memorial. Her cancer is terminal and she would like to go by train one more time.
