Our love story began like so many… online. Neither one was looking for anything serious but stubbornly realized this was something incredible we couldn’t fight. When our dogs didn’t get along, we got nervous this wouldn’t work out. Ridiculous, we know, but we made it work until my husky Avicii died suddenly and unexpectedly. I have a reincarnation theory, but that dog love and protected me until he realized Dustin was here to take the torch from him.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Oof - So many when you actually marry your goofy and loving best friend. We could say the day we got engaged, or married, or our first “I love you,” but it’s the little things. It’s the handholding on airplanes, the way Dustin makes sure there are 2 limes in my soda water, and how I hide love notes for him find.
What would you do with $20,000?First and foremost, we’d donate to two phenomenal domestic violence non-profits here in Minnesota: The Dwelling Place and Southern Valley Alliance. I want women (and men) to know there is always a way out. The other side is such a beautiful thing. Then we’d take a quick trip to celebrate our love (and first wedding anniversary!) where we were engaged, in San Jose Del Cabo.
