We love life and try to enjoy every moment. We live in New Orleans and embrace the culture of Mardi Gras year-round.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met in Pittsburgh in 2012. Doug was finishing his Ph.D., and Kiley was completing her undergraduate degree in architecture. They fell in love fast and quickly moved in together. The day Kiley finished her senior capstone project, Doug surprised her with a ring and a promise that Kiley promptly accepted. Upon graduation, they left their home in Pittsburgh to live a new life in New Orleans.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memories are every Carnival where we drink, celebrate, and love all around us for the entire season. However, the number one member would be shortly after we met, we realized we were both traveling with our respective schools to Europe. We were very new, but found a way to end our trips in Paris. Of course, it is cliche, but Paris in the Spring with a new love is something that words can never accurately describe. We ate French pastries, drank rosé, and grew our love.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use part of it to take another trip to a far-off place, like Morocco, Bali, or Northern Vietnam. We would also use part of it to help us build our ever-growing outdoor oasis. Lastly, we would dedicate some of this money to our favorite local animal rescue, where we found our dachshund, Willie.
