We stick together through thick and thin. We have been through so much together and always choose one another.
We would like to thank you for supporting Doug and Nicole in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Doug and I met while working together for an automotive company. I was a manager and he was a mechanic shop foreman. We began talking as friends and I asked him out multiple times before he finally agreed. We have a large age gap and he was reluctant to date me, but we stand together more than 16 years later.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? On July 28, 2012, Doug and I had been at a homecoming party together. Doug and I had already been engaged, but had no plans or date set. He asked me out of the blue if I wanted to get married, that day. I said yes and we were married within a few hours. We found a chapel and went to the courthouse to get our marriage license. I wore a bright yellow dress and we got married in the smallest chapel, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for us.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won the $20,000, I would pay off Doug’s truck and would love to take a real vacation. Over the 16 years we have been together, we have only taken 1 real vacation together. It would be amazing to disconnect and not have to worry about the financial part of taking time away together.
