In 2018, a friend introduced me to DJ. We talked all night, and the next day I found out I had a concussion. DJ texted, joking, “I guess I saved your life—I guess you owe me a date.” Three months later, he moved across the country, and I moved with him, and that became the foundation of us.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is 2020—3,000 miles from home, knowing almost no one but each other during a time of uncertainty. We grew closer, explored every adventure we could, surprised each other to make simple days feel special, and got so in sync we’d say the same thing at the same time. In a strange, uncertain time, we learned to lean on each other and create our own joy, and it became the foundation of the rest of our lives.
What would you do with $20,000?After moving across the country three times, we’re finally in a place where we see ourselves staying and building a future. Our goal is to buy a house, and the $20,000 would allow us to make that goal a reality.
