How did your love story begin?

It began in the military. She came to visit me on base when I was in the service & I remember being so taken back by seeing her that I had no words. After our first meeting, we kept seeing each other & got married shortly after. We made a road trip together to get to know each other & to drive me to my first duty station. We spent 18 hours straight together & we loved every minute of it. Years later & it is still the best decision I’ve ever made.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The first time I met her side of the family was at thanksgiving. I was invited to her aunts house & it went great. At one point, we were sitting down with each other just talking and laughing. I had tunnel vision & all I could see was her brightness. She was so bubbly & it was everything. Then we looked up from our conversation & EVERYONE was looking at us because we were giggling so loud with each other. We laughed even harder afterwards. It was a small moment but one I will never forget.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would put it towards buying our first home. I am now a disabled veteran and with how economy is working, it doesn’t seem feasible for us. With this money, we’d finally be able to buy a house & finally start a family. Without the money, we’ll still be madly in love, just without a place to call home.
