We would like to thank you for supporting Dez and Lez in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Right after 5th grade graduation, Dez turned our school auditorium into the most epic proposal spot. One by one, students, coworkers, friends, and family handed me roses—totally in on her secret. Then Dez walked down the aisle with our youngest and asked me to marry her. Cue the happy tears, cheers, and a very loud DUH! Close second is moshing together at Sick New World festival in Las Vegas.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, we’d finally give our blended family of 7 (plus pets!) the space to grow—putting it toward a down payment on our first home. We’d also plan the teacher-budget wedding of our dreams (hello, summer break!) surrounded by the love that brought us here. A little help would mean a forever home, one unforgettable “I do,” and a lifetime of love, laughter, and organized chaos.
