Our love began where most love vows end - in sickness and in health. Kyle has Addison’s, Type 1 diabetes, and epilepsy. I have autism and POTS. We've held each other through seizures, ICU stays, panic attacks, and sensory overloads. We fell in love knowing what it means to be sick, misunderstood, and learned what still being worthy of devotion looked and felt like. Our bond isn’t in spite of our difference- it’s because of them.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Sitting at the park at 2 am by our old house that we rented and him taking me by the hand and telling me its ok to be sick that he isn't going to leave cause im autistic and can be difficult. No one has ever accepted my autism like this before. It was a brand new feeling and made me feel safe and loved beyond means
What would you do with $20,000?Save for my next medical alert/mobility service animal so I can take some of the weight off Kyle's shoulders. This would allow him to have peace of mind when im out with friends. I would put what ever we don't use for the dog towards a down payment on a house
