How did your love story begin?

We met through Green Singles a dating service that matches individuals with a social and environmental conscience. Our first date was suppose to be short and sweet. We met at a local Caribou Cafe and became interested and attracted to each other. We decided to continue sharing our life story at a lovely woodland Park called the Morton Arboretum, eventually ending up at a charming authentic Mexican Restaurant. It was a full day and I have never been with anyone else going strong 15 years plus.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

An aloe plant grows in a loon mug on my bedside tabletop to remind me of a magical moment that brought the light of love among my life long partner Randee, the moon and a family of loons. The moon was almost full, rising from the east, coming up over the the mystical geologic body of Sleeping Giant close to the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario. A strong beacon of lunar light reflected off the subtle, rippling lake, heading in our direction as the loons were crossing our path.

What would you do with $20,000?

In the 15 plus years Randee and I have been gratefully together, we have never been able to bring each of our families together. She has 3 sons, all married and 6 grand children. I have 2 sisters ( one is married and the other is a widow seeing someone now) and a brother who is single. It would be wonderful to reserve a lovely retreat place where all of us could come together. Randee is 71 years old and I am 77 years and we are incredibly fortunate to have found a love that will last forever.
