How did your love story begin?

My girlfriend and I were taking dance lessons at a country dance hall but didn't have dance partners. So we ran an ad, "Two Cowgirls Seeking Two Cowboys for Dance Partners". That was a DISASTER!! So I ran another ad, "Greek Goddess Seeking her Zeus who put's God first, Family second and Career third." Six weeks after hearing my voice message, Lorenzo, my "Italian- Stallion" proposed to me on his knees, in the snow, in Big Bear when we celebrated our first Valentine's on 2/22/97!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I'd have to say, our wedding day was the first one and the second was a special ceremony we hosted to honor all of our "Starfish-Clients" we rescued and assisted in transforming their mind, body and spirits under our leadership. We gave each of them a hand made "Starfish Trophy"! They honored us as well, which was a huge surprise! 12/22/99 was a very special evening of testimonials we will never forget! It was also the first time I ever sang in public, "Simply the Best!", to honor the best!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would open another facility to "Save Our Starfish" struggling out there and lead them to their salvation; a complete transformation of their mind, body and spirit. We want to honor scholarships for those with disabilities who do not have the finances to afford a transformation of this kind. This was our original plan but since this competition started, my husband became ill. Our church has been there for us, in more ways than we could have ever dreamed. We would give them the entire $20k.
