Grew up together in the same church. Started talking as we got older and became friends. Asked Debbie out to on a double date with my best friend and girl he liked. Our friendship grew and I asked Debbie if she’d be my girlfriend. After dating for a while I asked Debbie to marry me. It’s now been 29 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We were trying to have a baby. Doctor told Debbie she would probably never have a child and if she did the child most likely wouldn’t make it and could possibly lose her as well. We kept it to ourselves but prayed. One day in our apartment we heard a noise and looked out our front window. Two doves were sitting on the a/c unit, nestled together. That same evening, we found out Debbie was pregnant. She had a perfect pregnancy, labor and delivery of a healthy, normal baby boy! He’s now 27!
