How did your love story begin?

It was ninth grade in English class. there was a boy in the classroom that kept making faces at me. At dinner I asked my father about it and he said boys are silly sometimes. This boy ask to carry my books. I loved his bleached blonde hair, his muscular arms and legs as a water skier. He loved my long hair and my legs that won’t quit. Then we were a couple. Our nickname in school was jolly Green giant and Little green sprout. Because we’re close to the same height, I was wearing platform shoes.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We found ourselves in my parents backyard. Both of us innocent and inexperienced. I was sitting on a swing, getting impatient with those deep longing looks and nothing happening. So I decided to take action. I stood close to him leaned in and said “you gonna kiss me or what? “ His blue eyes opened up wide in shock, my frosted lips pressed together with his. It was such a memorable moment. Our first Kiss. It was love.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would probably take a second honeymoon to the UK, Alaska, or Hawaii. Places we’ve always wanted to go to. Every vacation we’ve ever had has been to visit family up north except for one. When my father died, he left me a little bit of money, and I decided that we would take a trip out to Colorado. Let our boys see snow for the first time and ski so that’s been our only big trip. Our boys still talk about it.
