Connect How did your love story begin?

At Walmart, same as my parents (haha). We both worked there and just barely knew each other. He moved stores and I got a new job and we didn’t keep in touch. 8 years later we just so happen to bump into each other at - you guessed it! - Walmart. We both lived a lot of life in those 8 years, eerily similar situations that made us perfectly ready for each other. We went on our first date in June and we were married by December. When you know, you know!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We took our dream trip to London last year, I’m so fond of every part of it, but this was so silly it ended up being my favorite. We had planned on some fancy dinners, but we were just so exhausted at the end of every day that we didn’t want to go out. There was a Thai restaurant across the street from our hotel that put any unsold trays 50% off at the end of the day. So we would just totally wipe them out every night and say “okay okay, nice dinner tomorrow.” And just do it again the next day.

What would you do with $20,000?

We welcomed our first baby this March, his name is Malcolm and he is the absolute light of our lives. Shortly after he was born we had a very scary and unexpected hospital stay. It started with a fever and then just spiraled into lots of other things. Thankfully he is home and healthy now! We would use the 20,000 to pay off the rest of his medical bills and put any left over in his savings. We are so thankful for him and to be his parents, we want to do anything we can to give him the best life!
