We met in 2018 through a fitness cosplay group at Dragon*Con. Though friends online, our bond deepened in 2023 as we navigated dating and life changes. After months of messaging and a pivotal call about long-distance, we took a leap—Mike said, "We're in this together," Dawn booked tickets, and met for our first date and the long distance relationship took off from there.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The first time we boarded a plane for our first flight together after a year of flying to one another. We always send a photo of each other as soon as we've boarded so we know it's less than 2 hours until we see each other, so it was special to snuggle up together and snap our first vacation flight together. Mike swears it was the first time Dawn told him she loved him in dinosaur, "Rawr!"
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use the money for our next trip— Japan and/or Thailand. Mike has been to Japan before, but this would be a celebration of Dawn finishing her PsyD in School Psychology and another chapter together. We’d make memories, shop clothes and gifts for family and friends, and try all the food!
