David had just lost the matriarch of his family, his mother. I lost the patriarch of my family, my grandfather on the same day. These tragic events brought us to church where we met. We knew many of the same people, but had never met. At the right time, and through the worst circumstances, we found one another and rededicated our lives back to ministry. One year later, we are engaged to be married.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have so many great memories, but one of my favorites is from his birthday last year. David loves birdwatching so I took him to a place that I found online. It was a beautiful place, but we never saw any birds. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to make that happen for him. David, on the other hand, was so grateful that I tried to do that for him. At that moment we knew that we were in love.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use some of the money to purchase a home and the rest would go to help the community that surrounds our church
