We met on a blind date that my friend set up. I met David at the door as he says with a big smile, blue eyes and an Apple pie (which I made at school that day). It was love at first sight. I thought he was the most handsome man. Six months later we were married. We were together everyday from our first date till 5 yrs when David left for the Army.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?A lot of it surrounds Savannah GA. We were stationed at Ft Steward which is about an hour from Savannah. We would go walk around the River Walk and around town. One of our friends from the Army took family photos around the River Walk and we treasure those from our favorite place and a dear friend still today. Also while living there David deployed to Desert Storm leaving was hard but the joy of him coming home was incredible.
What would you do with $20,000?We have never taken a real honeymoon so first we would love to travel to maybe Ireland or Spain. Then after that we just bought a house a year ago and it needs some updates so we would like to do that. But travel and time together is first then everything else. Bills and house stuff will always be there but travel won’t since I have MS so it’s hard to get around which is also why we need to do work to our home. Also help our granddaughter with college a little since medical school isn’t cheap.
