Our love story began in the halls of junior high, after my dad moved our family to Oregon after accepting a church where my husband's mom was youth leader. From the very beginning, something about him just felt like home. We grew up together—sharing youth group nights, high school memories, and dreams of the future. Even as young teenagers, our connection was something steady and sure. What started as a sweet friendship bloomed into real love, the kind that only deepens with time.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory together is our very first trip to Disney—just the two of us, no kids, no schedules, just magic. We held hands like teenagers again as we strolled down Main Street, watched the fireworks light up the sky, and laughed until our cheeks hurt on every ride. That trip wasn’t just a vacation—it was a reminder of the joy in our relationship, the spark we share, and how sometimes, a little magic is all it takes to feel like you’re falling in love all over again.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were blessed with $20,000, we would take care of some medical bills plus put some back for our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii next year. My husband is a disabled veteran who has given so much, and this milestone deserves a moment as big and beautiful as our journey together. We’ve spent years building a life of love, resilience, and faith, and this trip would be a chance to pause, reflect, and create lasting memories—just the two of us, surrounded by the beauty of the islands.
