We met at a New Years Eve party in 1981. I thought he was funny looking and not a good dresser. But he was a good conversationalist. I was about to start dating a new guy who was out of town, but when David asked me out the next day, I thought “Why not”. I didn’t really have anything better to do. We went out. He took me out to Malibu, one of my favorite places. The conversation was very free and easy and I felt that I had known him for a very long time. It was the best date I’d ever had.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We always laugh when we remember that I knew I was going to marry him three days after I met him, but I was afraid I’d I’d said so, I would scare him off. Six days later, he asked me to marry him. I said “Yes!” We now joke that he was too slow!
What would you do with $20,000?I would go on a romantic month long trip to Europe & create a great romantic experience for us. We love long, leisurely travel time, seeing the sights, hiking, eating really great meals but most of all, being together. We are 70 now. This trip would be the memory of a lifetime & one we each could hold onto when our time to part each other eventually comes.
