Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story started in college, when we locked eyes for the first time at a house party. We had been seeing each other at homecoming events all weekend, but finally, we ran into each other and started a conversation. “You good?” was what I said to him. And in that moment, we realized that this wasn’t the first time that we met. Turns out, we were in the same class but didn’t really know each other. From there, the flowers and the roses started to flow in unexpectedly.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory that we share was probably sky diving together. We were only 4 years together and had just started living together. We knew we wanted to celebrate our anniversary in a big way, but we didn’t think that it would be in such a big way. But we did it. We said “fuck it” and decided to risk our lives, jumping from the sky together. He was (and still is) the love of my life, and if I was to do anything crazy, I’d rather do it with him. So, we risked our lives together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we win the $20,000 prize, we would invest that into planning our dream wedding. As a couple that never saw getting married as a reality before, we’re excited about being able to do something to celebrate our love and the community that loves us. Yes, we could do something smaller to just do it, but we want to be intentional in how we join as a union and we deserve to do something nice for ourselves. This $20,000 would be a milestone in us building a future together.
