Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story started in Fall 2011 when we both began attending Virginia State University. We would hang around the same people and eventually our paths crossed. We dated for a short time but after graduation Dante decided to pursue law school and moved to another state. We didn’t reconnect until 2020 during the height of the pandemic. That’s when we officially started dating. We are recently engaged and plan to be married in December 2025 !

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

This was a tough question because we have SO many. Our favorite memory as a couple is the first night we moved in together after purchasing our house. Our furniture hadn’t been delivered yet so we sat on plastic bins eating subway and drinking champagne out of glass cups, celebrating this milestone we’d reached as a young couple.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would rent/purchase an RV to start driving across the country, visiting natural parks, waterfalls, restaurants, and famous national monuments. We would also select one family in need of financial assistance to cover expensive veterinary costs for their pet in memory of our Bella. Bella was a rescue dog we took in. After months living on the streets, she developed so many medical conditions that we couldn’t afford to treat. We loved her and gave her a home while we could.
