We met through true crime, share a birthday, survived a pandemic apart, and real twin flame love, chaotic, devoted, and meant to be.
We would like to thank you for supporting Daniel Sheynin in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I saw Dan acting on a true crime show and thought, “He’s way too handsome to be the killer.” I found him on Instagram, slid into his DMs, and to my surprise, he answered. We discovered we shared a birthday and completely matched each other’s weirdness. COVID hit, and we fell in love over FaceTime. He flew to Mexico, met my family, and the rest is wild, romantic history. We got married in New Orleans 2 years ago.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our first time meeting in person after months of FaceTime, he flew to Mexico, and we spent two magical weeks in Veracruz with my family. We danced in the rain, got lost in markets, and fell even deeper in love. But honestly? Every time we make each other laugh through chaos feels like a core memory.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d finally move into our own place in Florida, start my nail studio from home, and help Dan finish his hospitality certification. We’ve been through job loss, immigration struggles, and starting over, this would give us the jumpstart we need to build a stable, creative, love-filled future.
