Daniel and Esther

Even 2 ½ years into our long distance relationship, we are still in our "honeymoon phase." I don't think it's a "phase" at this rate!

How did your love story begin?

We were art mutuals online trying to strengthen our networking. We were in similar fields and I wanted to befriend him professionally. But after a few weeks of texting, it snowballed into calls which snowballed into feelings. It was the classic crush feeling from childhood but now as adults. I didn't know you could still feel that way as a grown up!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first Christmas together had so much build up. For months I was preparing holiday gifts and preparing my flight from California to Florida to see him. I stayed till New Year. On Christmas morning we exchanged healing gifts we spoke fondly of but never anticipated having. The holiday was full of domestic bliss and demonstrated how involved we were in each other's lives and pasts. It was like an appetizer for our future together, and we can't wait to share it.

What would you do with $20,000?

It might sound practical and boring, but Danny and I have our eyes set on our future. We'd like to put it away until our special day approaches. Finances are one of the main factors why we aren't married yet, but we are ALWAYS discussing it. We have so many plans in motion to get us towards that goal, but that grand prize would help move us forward faster.
