We were 18, two choir kids who met on tour. Dani flirting, Lizy oblivious … until the last night. Cuddling home on the bus, Dani nervously asked, “Do you like coffee?" Lizy, equally anxious, blurted “Who doesn’t like coffee?!” and recovered smoothly with "yes I do." Though we still debate which café it all started at, fourteen years later, we’ve grown through every season together—older, wiser, still laughing, and more in love than ever!

One of our favorite memories is the first time we walked in Pride. Walking hand-in-hand, showing people that love can transcend what we thought we knew, and receiving the outpouring of love and support was one of the most empowering things we’ve done as a couple. Although we already knew our love was true, the validation from thousands of strangers that supported our love was such a gift.

Let’s be real, PAY OFF DEBT! Lizy is currently a graduate student earning her Master in Social Work to become a licensed therapist to work with partners and families of trans folx from her own lived experience. Dani has a life long dream to become a marine biologist! She has true admiration for sharks and would love to work and study them one day, although she is absolutely terrified of them! $20,000 would ease the burden of future student loans for both Lizy and Dani.
