How did your love story begin?

Technically, I was his sister’s friend first. We met at Friendsgiving, but our story really started a year later on a kayaking trip. He had never been in a kayak before, but was so eager to be near me that he tried to keep up—and tipped right over. Later that day, he told me he liked me. We’ve talked every day since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our trip to Asheville was pure magic—mountains, breweries, and laughs. After so much time apart, we finally got to slow down, hold hands, and just be. We soaked up every moment like it was our last (and every craft beer like it was our first). For once, long distance didn’t matter—because we were right where we belonged: together.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d finally close the distance. After years of long-distance love, this would help us build a life in the same place. It would go toward moving costs, setting up a shared home, and creating the stable foundation we’ve dreamed of. It’s more than money—it’s our chance to turn “someday” into soon.
