Our love story definitely began in an unconventional way! We were introduced by a mutual friend one evening at a bar in Chicago and quickly connected over the fact that both of us had just tackled having knee surgery - only a month apart! We instantly connected and had our first date two days later at a local show. After the show, I convinced Matt to go to Insomnia Cookies with me for a late-night snack which led to my car getting towed and us waiting until 5:00 am to get it back!

During our first Halloween together in October 2023, we decided to take a drive and follow a suburban list of decorated Halloween houses before dinner. On our way out to the suburbs, the weather began to change and before we knew it, a full-blown snow storm was happening! We slowly made our way from house to house and were one of the only few outside. Some of the houses we passed by even opened their doors to give us candy since they didn't have any trick-or-treaters. We laughed the entire time!

As we're getting married on September 5th of this year, we plan on starting a family in the next year. We'd love to take some time to travel, fix up our home that we purchased in August and get it baby ready, and build a new garage. Anything that is left over, we would gift to my parents for a trip for the two of them as they helped us take care of our wedding venue and other wedding-related expenses without us even asking. We wouldn't be able to have our dream wedding without their love!
