When we were 15, I was the Varsity swim team captain, she was a freshman on JV. I’d watch her walk down the pool deck everyday and was absolutely in love, but knew how far out of my league she was. During the state competition she gave me a gift and wished me luck and it was all over from there. We started “dating” on Valentine’s Day 1997 and have been inseparable ever since. We’ve built an amazing life, traveled, built companies and above all have always done it together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?That’s hard because there are so many! We grew up in staunchly religious households in a religious state. When I finally decided I couldn’t live the religion anymore, I was terrified it meant she would leave me over it and lose her love for me. Instead, we sat for hours discussing why I needed to leave and what I was feeling. She looked me straight in the face and told me she loved me, not what I was supposed to be and told me she’d walk the road with me. I’ll never forget the look of love.
What would you do with $20,000?Take her to Bora Bora. It’s a bucket list item for her!
