I met Dan the summer of 2017 in Boulder. He handed me a folded paper with his number, an old-school gesture that made me smile. Our love story began that year around Christmas. Dan was working late and I left a little surprise at his apartment. I had decorated his place with lights and a little Christmas tree. He was so surprised when he returned home at the sweet gesture that he knew he had found his person and I knew I had found mine. We've been doing life together ever since.

Dan and I planned a road trip from San Diego to Napa valley for our anniversary. I waited at the hotel for Dan to pick up the rental car. Little did I know he had rented a slick red convertible. When I came outside to meet him he was waiting for me in the parking lot, playing California Love while lowering the convertible's top. He greeted me with a big kiss and strangers walking along the boardwalk began to cheer us on. It set the tone for such a fun trip that we still talk about today.

We got engaged in March of 2024 and we’re in the midst of planning our dream wedding and our next chapter as a married couple. We’re covering the costs ourselves and winning this would be an incredible gift for helping us create an unforgettable celebration and honeymoon in beautiful Italy!
