After dating over 20 years ago then marrying other people, we found eachother again at just the right time and it started our lives again.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met in college in 1999. My best friend Zane wanted to go to the coffee shop we often hung out at to ask a particular girl out. Once we got to the coffee shop I noticed a girl typing away on a laptop. Zane had gone to the restroom to “get ready”. This girl also got up and left the room. I took this opportunity to type a message on her laptop asking her out. She said yes. It also turned out that this was the girl Zane was there to ask out, but that’s a different story.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Aside from finding each other again, after decades apart and marriages and children, to fall back in love and get married to each other, it’s hard to put a finger on a single moment. It’s more the ongoing feeling of being loved and accepted and safe and respected. Once you have been hurt it’s hard to trust again, and we changed that for each other.
What would you do with $20,000?I’d love to say a second honeymoon, we are coming up on our anniversary. I’d love to say a family vacation, we haven’t taken our three kiddos on a real trip before and they are growing up quickly. Likely we would use it to pay of some debts and crest some financial breathing room.
