Our love story started sophomore year when our lockers were next to each other. I waited by homeroom just to see her arrive and nervously asked her to homecoming. Before that night, we’d barely talked and could hardly make eye contact, but we laughed and smiled the whole time. She was so different yet felt so familiar. After the dance we watched spider-man and shared our first kiss. Now, nearly 11 years later, I’m wondering how to ask her to be my wedding date - with her as the bride of course.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Out of all our memories together, our favorite is the day we adopted our cat. His name is Gibson, a chunky black cat we brought home on Halloween in 2020 and as corny as it sounds, he’s truly changed our lives.They say having kids changes you and your relationship, and even though I didn’t have to carry this one for nine months, he’s given us such a rewarding sense of responsibility. More than that, adopting him gave us this reassurance that we were in it together for the long haul.
