Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story doesn’t sound the most romantic, but it is to me. We met on hinge just before Cristian moved to my town. I never really took the app seriously and wasn’t the most open to love, but fate had other plans. We ended up facetiming all day, everyday, falling asleep together from opposite ends of the country. A month and an half later Cristian came to town to visit friends and we finally met. 2 years later and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I’d say it was love at first FaceTime.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our first dates that Cristian planned was going to Cypress Gardens where the rowboat scene from The Notebook was filmed. I felt like we were in our own version of the movie. What got me the most was how much fun we had just walking the trails together. Not one moment of awkward silence and many laughs later, I knew that he was going to be someone special. We ended the day with driving to a dock to watch the sunset. Simple but sweet, I knew we’d have fun doing anything together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were fortunate enough to win $20,000, I’d use a portion of it to help me pay off my student loans. Cristian has been independent since he was 18, so he’d use a portion of it to further the career he’s built for himself. The rest of the money would go to a food pantry at my grandparents church, Bethel, and at PetHelpers Animal Shelter where I volunteered and recently adopted my cat Franklin. It would really help us grow as well as give back to our community and causes close to our hearts.
