How did your love story begin?

We met during college at East Carolina university. A friend was going to try and set us up. I was too tired to go out, so my roommate went out with him. When he picked her up I thought…”man, I should have gone”. He thought similar about me. When their date didn’t go well, we connected and went out ourselves.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When we first started out. Living in our little apartment in Asheville. Just slow paced like enjoying one another.

What would you do with $20,000?

Wow. Well, the kids have always dreamed of Disney. It might also be nice to help create a backyard oasis for us all. We love being home together and that would be so nice to have a place to be in our own private backyard. Something to create more memories. I would of course buy something great for my students. We always need sensory friendly items for my classroom.
