We met in 2014 at a school dance. When I saw him across the room, I said to my friend, “There’s just something about that guy. I feel like I need to go talk to him.” I walked up to the table he was at and asked if the seats next to him were taken. He smiled and told me to take a seat. Then, he took out his phone and asked me to take a picture with him. We introduced ourselves, and talked and laughed all night. We’ve been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our son has a speech delay, and for the first two years of his life he barely spoke. We took all the necessary steps to get him help, starting with speech therapy and enrolling him in a pre-school that could assist. In December of 2023 when we were tucking him in, we said the usual, “Good night, baby. We love you.” Suddenly, we heard a small, clear voice say, “Love you.” We beamed at each other, tears welling in our eyes. We’d waited nearly 3 years to hear those words. It was magic.
What would you do with $20,000?We live a 750 square foot, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, house. It would be a dream to build an addition for our family.
